What are the heating elements of a vacuum tube furnace?

Time:2025-03-20 Click:0

The heating elements of a vacuum tube furnace mainly include the following types:

Resistance wire:
Characteristics: Resistance wire heating elements have low cost and are a common heating method.
Applicable temperature: Suitable for heating in the medium and low temperature range, generally around 800-1200 ℃.
Silicon carbide:
Features: Silicon carbon rods have good high temperature resistance and chemical stability, with a long service life.
Applicable temperature: Suitable for heating in the medium to high temperature range, with a temperature range of up to 1400-1600 ℃ or even higher.
Application: In vacuum tube furnaces, silicon carbon rods are one of the commonly used heating elements, which can meet various high-temperature experimental and production needs.
Silicon molybdenum rod:
Features: Silicon molybdenum rods have higher high temperature resistance and better oxidation resistance, and can work stably for a long time at high temperatures.
Applicable temperature: commonly used in high temperature environments, with a temperature range of up to 1700 ℃ or above.
Application: In vacuum tube furnaces that require extremely high temperatures, silicon molybdenum rods are an ideal choice.
Graphite heater:
Features: Graphite heaters have good thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance, as well as high mechanical strength.
Applicable temperature: The temperature range can reach 2200 ℃ or above, suitable for ultra-high temperature experiments and production.
Application: In certain special high-temperature experiments, graphite heaters may be used as heating elements.
When selecting heating elements, comprehensive consideration should be given to factors such as the operating temperature of the vacuum tube furnace, experimental or production requirements, and budget. At the same time, the performance characteristics and service life of different heating elements will also vary, so the long-term operating and maintenance costs of the equipment need to be considered.
