Chamber electric furnace, also known as muffle furnace, is a common form of electric furnace. The following is a detailed introduction to the box type resistance furnace:
1. Structure and Design
The shape of a box type resistance furnace is similar to a rectangular box, and the structural design usually includes key parts such as the box, heating elements, and control system. It is divided into various forms such as vertical, horizontal, split, and integrated to meet the needs of different users.
2. Working principle
The working principle of a box type resistance furnace mainly includes two parts: electrical energy conversion and thermal energy conduction:
Electric energy conversion: The box type resistance furnace is equipped with electric heating wires (such as resistance wires, silicon carbon rods, silicon molybdenum rods, and other heating elements), which convert electric energy into thermal energy by transmitting current. Electricity generates heat through resistance wires, causing the internal temperature of the box type resistance furnace to rise.
Thermal energy conduction: The box design of the box type resistance furnace is special, and the material has good thermal conductivity, which can effectively conduct thermal energy from the electric heating wire into the box body. The temperature inside the box will increase with the heating of the electric heating wire, thereby achieving heating of the object.
3. Temperature range and classification
The temperature range of the box type resistance furnace is divided into various types, such as below 1200 degrees, 1400 degrees, 1600 degrees, 1700 degrees, 1800 degrees, etc. According to the different heating temperatures, box type resistance furnaces are generally divided into three types:
High temperature box type resistance furnace: temperature above 1000 ℃.
Medium temperature box type resistance furnace: temperature between 600~1000 ℃.
Low temperature box type resistance furnace: temperature below 600 ℃.
4. Function and Features
Touch screen operation: Some box type resistance furnaces adopt touch screen operation, which is convenient and programmable, with PID self-tuning, automatic heating, automatic insulation, automatic cooling and other functions, without the need for duty.
Double layer furnace shell: The furnace body is finely sprayed with plastic, corrosion-resistant and acid and alkali resistant. The furnace body and furnace chamber are isolated by air cooling, and the surface temperature of the shell is less than 60 degrees.
High quality furnace material: The furnace is made of imported Mitsubishi fiber and other materials, which are resistant to high temperatures, rapid heating and cooling, and have good insulation performance.
Fast heating rate: The heating rate can be adjusted from 1 ℃/h to 20 ℃/min, and higher heating rates can be customized.
Multiple protections: It has dual circuit protection functions (such as over temperature, over pressure, over current, disconnection, power outage, etc.).
Digital PID controller: The standard configuration is a digital PID controller that can adjust the heating curve, insulation temperature, and insulation time.
Safe and reliable: It has functions such as over temperature alarm, power-off, and leakage protection, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
5. Application Fields
Box type resistance furnaces are widely used in the production and experimentation of ceramics, metallurgy, electronics, glass, chemical industry, machinery, refractory materials, new material development, special materials, building materials and other fields.
6. Operating procedures
Before powering on, check whether the wiring is in compliance and whether the wiring screws of the controller are loose.
Weigh the sample and place it in the furnace, then close the furnace door and turn on the electric furnace switch.
Pull the switch on the controller to the “set” position and set the test temperature.
After the setting is completed, pull the switch back to the “measurement” position, and the electric furnace will start heating up. At this time, the instrument will display a green indicator light.
After working hours, turn off the electric furnace switch and take out the sample after it has cooled down.
In summary, the box type resistance furnace is a powerful, easy to operate, and widely used electric furnace equipment.
