The daily maintenance of customized atmosphere furnaces is the key to ensuring their long-term stable operation and extending their service life. Here are some key daily maintenance steps and precautions:
1. Regular cleaning
Surface and interior cleaning: Regularly clean the dust on the surface and interior of the electric furnace to keep the inside and outside of the furnace clean and hygienic.
Furnace cleaning: Keep the furnace clean and promptly remove metal oxides, slag, and impurities inside the furnace. Caution should be exercised when loading and unloading workpieces to prevent damaging the silicon molybdenum rod.
2. Inspection and replacement
Electric heating element and wire joint: Regularly check whether the fastening bolts at the wire joint of the electric heating element are loose, and tighten them in a timely manner if necessary. At the same time, check if the radiation heating tube is bent and replace it immediately to prevent short circuit accidents caused by bending.
Sealing parts: Regularly check all sealing parts for leaks, and replace them in a timely manner to ensure a stable atmosphere inside the furnace.
Fans and electrical components: Regularly check the operation of the fan, and if there are any abnormal phenomena, repair or replace them in a timely manner. At the same time, check the heating condition of the electrical components inside the control cabinet and adjust or replace them as required.
3. Operation and monitoring
Ammeter monitoring: Check if the current on the ammeter is consistent with normal. If there is any abnormality, it should be repaired immediately.
Heating rate monitoring: When using, closely observe the heating rate of the electric furnace. If there is any abnormality, immediately notify the technical personnel for maintenance.
Power outage handling: In the event of a sudden power outage, the heating switch should be turned off to prevent automatic start-up when power is restored.
4. Atmosphere and pressure control
Atmosphere control: Connect the inflation port and fill it with protective gas, such as CO2. When the pressure gauge of the atmosphere furnace indicates within the appropriate range (such as 0.02~0.04MPa), stop inflating. At the same time, according to the process setting temperature, power on for heating and insulation.
Pressure control: When the furnace temperature rises, attention should be paid to the pressure inside the furnace chamber at all times. By intermittently opening the vent valve, the pressure inside the furnace chamber should be kept below a certain range (such as below 0.1MPa) to ensure the discharge of impurities such as oil fume.
5. Other precautions
Rated power and temperature limits: The rated power shall not be exceeded during use, and the temperature of the atmosphere furnace shall not exceed the maximum operating temperature. It is prohibited to load damp workpieces into the furnace, and heated workpieces containing excessive moisture should be dried in advance.
Attention to corrosive substances: Silicon molybdenum rods have a corrosive effect on alkali, alkali metals, silicic acid, and boron compounds at high temperatures. Water vapor has a strong oxidizing effect on them. Hydrogen and gases containing a large amount of hydrogen can decompose silicon molybdenum rods at high temperatures, so caution must be taken when using them.
Furnace door management: After use and no longer in use, the furnace door should be closed to prevent dust and moisture from entering. When the fire curtain of the furnace door is not ignited, the furnace door cannot be opened. When there is furnace material in the heating chamber, the action of loading material into the heating chamber cannot be executed.
6. Maintenance cycle
The determination of maintenance cycle should comprehensively consider multiple factors, including frequency of use, environmental conditions, process requirements, etc. Generally speaking, atmosphere furnaces that are frequently used should undergo a simple inspection and cleaning once a week, and a comprehensive maintenance once a month; Medium frequency atmosphere furnaces can undergo a simple inspection every two weeks and a comprehensive maintenance every two to three months; Low frequency atmosphere furnaces should undergo a simple inspection once a month and comprehensive maintenance every three to six months. In harsh environments or when used for critical processes, the maintenance cycle should be shortened accordingly.
In summary, the daily maintenance of customized atmosphere furnaces involves multiple aspects, including regular cleaning, inspection and replacement, operation and monitoring, atmosphere and pressure control, and other precautions. By carefully following these maintenance steps and precautions, the long-term stable operation and extended service life of the atmosphere furnace can be ensured.
