What metal materials and processes are suitable for high-temperature atmosphere furnaces?

Time:2024-09-26 Click:0

High temperature atmosphere furnaces have a wide range of applications in metal materials and processes. Here are some main application areas and corresponding metal materials and processes:
Metallic materials
Alloy steel products:
Application: Mainly used for heat treatment processes such as normalizing, quenching, and annealing of alloy steel. These processes change the microstructure of steel by controlling the heating temperature and cooling rate, thereby improving its mechanical, physical, and processing properties.
Advantages: High temperature atmosphere furnaces can provide precise temperature control and good atmosphere protection, effectively preventing steel oxidation and decarburization at high temperatures, ensuring heat treatment effectiveness.
Cutting blade material:
Application: For example, diamond cutting blades are made to have higher hardness and wear resistance through high-temperature sintering technology.
Process: In a high-temperature atmosphere furnace, by precisely controlling the sintering temperature and atmosphere, diamond particles are tightly combined with the matrix material to form high-performance cutting blades.
Other metal materials:
Including but not limited to non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and their alloys. These materials can be processed through processes such as melting, refining, and alloying in high-temperature atmosphere furnaces to meet different usage needs.
Process technology
Controlled atmosphere heat treatment:
Principle: In a high-temperature atmosphere furnace, a certain composition of artificially prepared atmosphere (such as inert gas, reducing gas, etc.) is introduced into the furnace to control the degree of oxidation and decarburization of steel during the heating process.
Application: Achieve non oxidative heating and controllable carburizing, improve the hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength of metal parts. Meanwhile, precise control of the carbon concentration in carburized steel parts helps ensure their performance and eliminates the need for cold treatment processes and equipment.
Special heat treatment process:
Such as decarburization annealing of silicon steel sheets, decarburization of steel workpieces, and penetration carburizing of low carbon steel stamping parts. These processes can achieve precise control in high-temperature atmosphere furnaces to meet specific usage requirements.
Sintering process:
In addition to heat treatment, high-temperature atmosphere furnaces are also commonly used in the sintering process of metal powders. By high-temperature sintering, metal powder or a mixture of metal powder and non-metal powder is pressed into shape and fired into products. This process has a wide range of applications in the field of powder metallurgy.
In summary, high-temperature atmosphere furnaces are suitable for various metal materials and process treatments. Its precise temperature control and excellent atmosphere protection capability make it an indispensable and important equipment in metal material processing and modification.
