The daily maintenance of a vertical tube furnace is an important part to ensure its long-term stable operation and extend its service life. Here are some key maintenance measures:
1. Regular inspection and cleaning
Wiring head inspection:
Regularly check whether the contact of each terminal of the equipment and controller is intact, to prevent unstable current or equipment failure caused by poor contact.
Check if the pointer of the indicator moves smoothly without any jamming, and use a potentiometer to verify if the scale error of the indicator is within the allowable range.
Furnace and pipeline cleaning:
Clean up the accumulated debris and dust inside the furnace to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the equipment. Especially for the furnace and pipeline parts, regular cleaning is necessary to avoid carbon slag or coking, which can affect heat transfer and uniformity.
When cleaning, physical cleaning methods (such as mechanically crushing carbon slag and blowing it out with high-speed airflow) or chemical cleaning methods (such as destroying the structure of carbon slag through chemical reactions and cleaning) can be used. The choice of method depends on the specific situation and the corrosion resistance of the equipment.
Cleaning of electric heating elements:
Electric heating elements are an important component of tube furnaces and require careful cleaning of their surface for dust and dirt. Gently clean with a cleaning cloth or vacuum cleaner to avoid scratching the electric heating element with hard objects.
2. Environment and humidity control
Working environment temperature:
Ensure that the working environment temperature of the vertical tube furnace is within 0-50 degrees Celsius to avoid adverse effects on the equipment caused by excessively high or low temperatures.
Humidity control:
The working environment humidity of the controller should not exceed 85% to prevent circuit short circuits or equipment corrosion caused by high humidity.
3. Operation and usage
Oven operation:
When using a tube furnace again after initial use or long-term disuse, a drying operation should be carried out first. The purpose of an oven is to remove moisture and impurities from the furnace and preheat the equipment to prevent equipment damage caused by rapid temperature changes during use. The specific time and temperature of the oven can be determined according to the equipment manual or manufacturer’s recommendations.
Heating material processing:
When placing the material to be heated into a vertical tube furnace, attention should be paid to uniform distribution to avoid local overheating or uneven heating. At the same time, the height and heating power of the tube should be adjusted according to the properties of the material and heating requirements.
Temperature monitoring:
Use thermometers or other temperature monitoring devices to monitor the temperature inside the furnace and adjust the heating power in a timely manner to ensure that the temperature fluctuates within an appropriate range. Avoid equipment damage or material quality degradation caused by excessive temperature.
4. Maintenance and safety
Regular maintenance:
Perform regular maintenance according to the equipment manual or manufacturer’s recommended maintenance cycle, including checking whether the circuit, electrical connections, heating elements, etc. are working properly. Replace or repair as necessary.
Security protection:
Wear protective equipment such as gloves, masks, etc. during operation to prevent high temperatures or harmful gases from causing harm to operators.
Ensure that there are no flammable or explosive materials around the equipment and equip corresponding fire-fighting facilities to respond to emergencies.
By implementing the above daily maintenance measures, the stable operation and extended service life of the vertical tube furnace can be ensured, while improving production efficiency and product quality.
