The precautions for using the trolley furnace involve multiple aspects to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and long-term stable operation of the equipment. Here are some key precautions:
1. Preparation before operation
Understand the equipment: Operators must fully understand the structure and performance of the trolley furnace and its auxiliary equipment, including the layout of the power distribution system, control system, and the location of safety devices. At the same time, it is necessary to be familiar with the operating process and safety operating procedures, and pass relevant assessments.
Check equipment:
Check if the power supply is functioning properly, and if there are any issues such as phase failure, short circuit, or bare wires.
Check if the contact at the grounding device wiring is good.
Check whether the heating element is damaged, whether the contact at each connection is good, and avoid contact with the furnace body and casing.
Check if the temperature control system is functioning properly.
Check if the furnace door lifting and trolley entry and exit operation are normal.
2. Operation process
Workpiece preparation:
It is strictly prohibited for workpieces containing corrosive, volatile, or explosive gases to enter the furnace for processing, in order to avoid affecting the service life of heating elements and refractory materials, and potentially causing accidents such as explosions.
Workpieces with excessive oxide scale need to be removed before entering the furnace, and can be brushed off with a wire brush.
Workpieces should be stacked evenly and kept at a certain distance from the heating element (usually 100-150mm) to avoid direct contact.
Workpieces should be handled with care to avoid impact and rough handling.
Heating operation:
Overtemperature operation is strictly prohibited, otherwise it will shorten the service life of the equipment.
During the heating process, the operator must not leave their post without permission and must always pay attention to whether the electric furnace is working properly.
If any overheating or abnormal phenomena are found, the operation should be stopped immediately and maintenance should be carried out.
Loading and unloading workpieces:
When loading and unloading workpieces, the power supply of the heating element must be cut off first to ensure the safety of the operator.
During the loading and unloading process, handle with care to avoid damaging the workpiece and furnace.
3. Daily maintenance and upkeep
Cleaning oxides: The oxides in the furnace (including resistance wires or strips) should be cleaned regularly, at least once a week. Compressed air can be used to blow under the furnace floor.
Lubrication and inspection:
Motors, reducers, transmission shaft sleeves, etc. need to be regularly inspected and lubricated to prevent damage due to lack of oil.
Regularly check the usage of heating elements and replace them promptly if damaged.
Regularly verify the use of instruments and thermocouples to prevent incorrect temperature measurement caused by errors.
Safety devices: Ensure the reliability of safety devices (such as furnace door pressure devices, limit switches, etc.) and regularly check their functionality.
4. Other precautions
New equipment and major repairs: Newly installed and overhauled electric furnaces must undergo baking and testing according to regulations to ensure that there are no problems before they can continue to be used.
Neat environment: The work site should be kept clean and free of debris that may affect the work. After the homework is completed, the environment and hygiene conditions around the furnace should be cleaned.
Training and assessment: Operators should receive regular training and assessment to improve their operational skills and safety awareness.
In summary, the precautions for using the trolley furnace include preparation before operation, operation process, daily maintenance and upkeep, and other aspects. Strictly following these precautions can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the trolley furnace, and extend its service life.
