1. Heating method
RTP rapid annealing furnace: usually heated by electric heating tubes, and commonly used ones are resistance heaters. This heating method has the advantages of fast heating speed, precise temperature control, and uniform temperature. It can ensure that the sample reaches the required temperature in a short period of time and the temperature distribution is uniform.
Ordinary tube furnace: mainly uses convection heating method, where the air inside the furnace is heated and transferred to the sample inside the pipeline through convection. The convective heating method is relatively slow, and the temperature distribution may not be as uniform as the RTP rapid annealing furnace.
2. Heating efficiency and temperature range
RTP rapid annealing furnace: With high heating efficiency, it can quickly heat up and reach a stable state in a short period of time. Its temperature process range is wide, generally covering 200-1200 ℃, and the temperature control accuracy is high, which can meet the temperature and time requirements of high-precision processes such as semiconductor devices.
Ordinary tube furnace: The heating efficiency is relatively low and the heating speed is slow. However, its temperature range is usually wide and can cover various heat treatment processes from low to high temperatures, including annealing, sintering, drying, etc.
3. Structure and Operation
RTP rapid annealing furnace: usually a flat or rectangular heat treatment device with heating elements and cooling systems inside. Samples are usually placed directly on the bottom tray or rack inside the furnace, which is easy to operate and maintain.
Ordinary tube furnace: It is a closed furnace body, usually with a cylindrical or rectangular shape. The sample is placed in a pipeline inside the furnace and heated through the pipeline. Its structure and appearance are relatively complex, and operation and maintenance require certain professional skills.
4. Security
RTP fast annealing furnace: has high safety. Using electric heating tube heating method, the temperature control accuracy is high, which can effectively control the temperature inside the furnace and avoid overheating or local overheating. At the same time, its sealing performance is good, which can reduce the exchange of gas between the furnace and the outside air, and reduce the harm to operators.
Ordinary tube furnace: If no corresponding sealing components are installed, its sealing performance is relatively poor, which can easily cause gas leakage inside the furnace and pose potential health hazards to operators.
5. Application Fields
RTP rapid annealing furnace: Due to its fast heating speed, high temperature control accuracy, and wide temperature range, it is widely used in high-precision annealing treatment in the semiconductor industry, new energy industry, metal industry, and other fields.
