The operation process of a continuous feeding and discharging rotary tube furnace usually includes the following steps:
1. Preparation stage
Inspection and preparation:
Check if the equipment wiring is properly connected and ensure that the power, gas, and other systems are in good condition.
Prepare the samples for processing and ensure that they meet the processing requirements.
Wear necessary protective equipment such as gloves, eye masks, masks, etc. to ensure the safety of operators.
Furnace and sample placement:
Place the furnace tube symmetrically in the center of the furnace to ensure its stability and prevent any shaking.
Place the sample in the center of the furnace tube using a furnace hook to ensure even heating of the sample.
Place pipe plugs at both ends of the furnace to seal the furnace and prevent gas leakage.
Air circuit connection and inspection:
Open the gas circuit in the order of the gas cylinder main valve, pressure divider valve, and pipeline switch to ensure smooth and unobstructed gas flow.
Connect the air circuit in the order of intake pipe, intake valve, exhaust valve, and safety bottle, and check if the air tightness is good. By adjusting the intake valve and gas circuit switch, the gas flow rate is controlled, usually based on a continuous bubble blowing out of the safety bottle.
2. Heating stage
Power on and temperature setting:
Turn on the air switch and connect the power.
Enter the program temperature setting interface and set the target temperature according to the process requirements.
Check if the temperature control instrument displays normally and ensure that the temperature control system is working properly.
Start heating:
Click the start button, and the green indicator light will turn on, indicating that the device has started running.
Press and hold the ‘run’ button for 1-2 seconds, then release it, and the device will start heating according to the set program.
Preheating and warming up:
In the initial stage of heating, the voltage and temperature should be gradually increased to avoid sample damage or equipment failure caused by rapid heating.
During the heating process of a rotary tube furnace, the furnace tubes rotate to ensure uniform heating of the sample.
3. Processing stage
Monitoring and adjustment:
During the heating and processing process, the changes in parameters such as temperature and gas flow rate should be closely monitored.
Adjust parameters such as temperature and gas flow rate as needed to ensure that the treatment effect meets the process requirements.
Continuous feeding and discharging:
According to the process requirements, carry out continuous feeding and discharging operations at appropriate times. This usually requires the implementation of automated control systems to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of incoming and outgoing materials.
4. End stage
Stop heating and ventilation:
After the processing procedure is completed, the heating should be stopped first and the furnace temperature should be allowed to cool naturally to below 100 ℃.
Close the intake valve and power switch, stop ventilation and power supply.
Sample extraction and cleaning:
Open the furnace and take out the processed sample for further processing or analysis.
Clean the residue inside the furnace and furnace tubes, and keep the equipment clean.
Turn off the device:
Close all equipment and valves according to the operating procedures to ensure that the equipment is in a safe state.
Cut off the power and gas sources to avoid safety accidents.
It should be noted that there may be certain differences in the operation process of different models of continuous feeding and discharging rotary tube furnaces. Therefore, in specific operations, reference should be made to the equipment’s user manual and safety operating procedures. At the same time, operators should possess corresponding professional knowledge and skills to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the operation process.
