The atmosphere tube furnace may encounter various common faults during use. Here are some common faults, their possible causes, and solutions:
1. Electrical system malfunction
The indicator light is not on
Possible reasons: damaged fuse, improperly plugged plug, blown fuse or blown control circuit fuse.
Solution: Check if the plug is properly inserted, replace the fuse or fuse, check if there is a short circuit in the control circuit and eliminate it before replacing the fuse.
The ammeter has no current, but the voltmeter has electricity
Possible cause: Damaged heating element.
Solution: Open the door to observe and determine which heating element is damaged, and then replace that element instead of replacing everything.
There is no power display on the instrument panel
Possible reasons: The plug is not properly inserted, the fuse is blown, or the control circuit fuse is blown.
Solution: Check if the plug is properly inserted, replace the fuse or fuse, and check if there is a short circuit in the control circuit.
2. Temperature control system malfunction
When heating, the temperature does not rise but instead decreases
Possible reason: The positive and negative poles of the thermocouple are reversed.
Solution: Replace the positive and negative wiring of the thermocouple.
The temperature inside the furnace does not rise
Possible reasons: The set temperature is too low or the control circuit is damaged.
Solution: Adjust the set temperature or notify professional maintenance personnel to repair the control circuit.
The set temperature does not match the temperature inside the furnace
Possible reasons: Damage to temperature sensor or temperature controller, or deviation between temperature measurement point and layout point.
Solution: Replace the temperature sensor or thermostat, or adjust the layout position.
3. Operation and performance failures
Decreased vacuum degree
Possible reason: Decreased sealing of the vacuum system.
Solution: Replace the heat-resistant silicone ring between the stainless steel flanges or reinstall the stainless steel flanges, or replace and repair the vacuum system.
Abnormal heating rate
Possible reason: The set heating rate is too fast or too slow, which does not match the material properties.
Solution: Based on the physical and chemical properties of the sintered material, set the heating rate for each temperature range reasonably.
Furnace cracking
Possible reasons: The furnace temperature exceeds the rated temperature, or the furnace is directly filled with liquid and molten metal.
Solution: Ensure that the furnace temperature does not exceed the rated temperature, and prohibit direct injection of liquids or melting of metals into the furnace.
4. Other common faults
Sudden equipment failure
Possible reasons: controller malfunction, motor malfunction, or other electrical component malfunction.
Solution: Based on the fault display prompt and sound alarm prompt on the control instrument, quickly check and eliminate the fault, or ask professional personnel to handle it.
Furnace tube explosion
Possible reasons: Suddenly opening the furnace cover at high temperatures, or excessive gas pressure entering the furnace tube.
Solution: When the furnace temperature is higher than the safe temperature, it is forbidden to open the furnace cover; Strictly follow safety regulations when introducing gas and control the gas pressure not to exceed the allowable range.
5. Prevention and maintenance
Regular oven drying: When the electric furnace is used for the first time or after a long period of disuse, it must be dried to remove moisture and impurities inside the furnace.
Maintain cleanliness: Regularly keep the chamber clean and promptly clean the oxide and quartz tube inside the furnace of experimental residues.
Light opening and closing: Pay attention to the opening structure of the upper furnace, open and close gently, and move slowly to avoid damage to the furnace and furnace tubes.
Reasonable parameter setting: Set heating temperature, heating rate and other parameters according to experimental requirements to avoid unnecessary burden on the equipment.
The above measures can effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of faults in atmosphere tube furnaces, ensuring the normal operation of equipment and extending its service life.
