There are significant differences between tube sintering furnaces and box type sintering furnaces in multiple aspects, mainly reflected in appearance, heating elements, sintering treatment, application scenarios, and operational characteristics. The following is a detailed analysis of the differences between the two:
1. Appearance and Structure
Tube sintering furnace: small volume, light weight, and small footprint. The furnace structure usually includes furnace tubes, which are made of various materials such as 310S stainless steel tubes, quartz tubes, corundum tubes, etc. These furnace tubes can withstand high temperatures and have good thermal stability.
Box type sintering furnace: relatively large in volume, sturdy in structure, usually welded from steel plates, easy to install and maintain. The furnace space of the box furnace is relatively large, which can accommodate more sintering materials.
2. Heating element
The two may have different heating elements in the high-temperature range, but it depends on the temperature range and design of the equipment. Generally speaking, resistance wires may be used as heating elements below 1200 degrees Celsius, while silicon carbon rods or silicon molybdenum rods may be used as heating elements at temperatures of 1400 degrees Celsius or higher.
Tube type sintering furnace: Heating elements are usually placed at specific positions inside the furnace, such as on the left and right sides, to ensure the uniformity of temperature inside the furnace.
Box type sintering furnace: The arrangement of heating elements also focuses on temperature uniformity, but the specific arrangement may vary depending on the equipment model and design.
3. Sintering treatment
Tube sintering furnace: suitable for sintering long strips, shaft parts, powders and other items. During the experiment, it is necessary to place the sintered material into the furnace tube and close the flange to ensure the sealing of the atmosphere. This design enables the tube sintering furnace to perform well in experiments that require atmosphere circulation.
Box type sintering furnace: more suitable for sintering larger items. During the experiment, the sintered material can be directly placed into the furnace and the furnace door can be closed. Box type sintering furnaces are more convenient for processing large samples or when batch processing is required.
4. Application scenarios
Tube sintering furnace: widely used in ceramics, metallurgy, electronics, glass, chemical industry, machinery, refractory materials, new material development, special materials, building materials, universities, research institutes, industrial and mining enterprises and other fields, for powder roasting, ceramic sintering, high temperature experiments, material processing, quality inspection, etc.
Box type sintering furnace: also suitable for sintering and heat treatment of metals, ceramics and other materials, such as tempering, annealing and other processes. It has wide applications in manufacturing, research and development institutions, and other fields.
5. Operation characteristics
Tube sintering furnace: Due to the design of the furnace tubes, it is more flexible in terms of atmosphere control. Meanwhile, its smaller volume and compact structure also facilitate small-scale experiments and sintering operations in the laboratory.
Box type sintering furnace: The operation is relatively simple and convenient, and the user-friendly interface and control system make it easy for users to master the operation of the equipment. Meanwhile, its larger furnace space gives it advantages in batch processing and sintering of large samples.
In summary, there are significant differences between tube sintering furnaces and box type sintering furnaces in terms of appearance, heating elements, sintering treatment, application scenarios, and operational characteristics. When making a choice, users should consider factors such as their experimental needs, sample types, and budget comprehensively.
