What is a vacuum furnace?

Time:2024-06-27 Click:0

Vacuum furnace is a widely used equipment in industry, characterized by a vacuum system (carefully assembled by vacuum pumps, vacuum measuring devices, vacuum valves, and other components) in the specific space of the furnace chamber to discharge some materials in the furnace chamber, so that the pressure inside the furnace chamber is less than a standard atmospheric pressure, thereby achieving a vacuum state in the furnace chamber space.

The following is a detailed explanation about vacuum furnaces:
Working principle: A vacuum furnace is usually an electric heating furnace, in which the products are processed by surrounding a vacuum atmosphere. Under vacuum conditions, there is no air or other gas, which can prevent oxidation and dissipate heat from the product through convection, thereby eliminating the source of pollution.
Main applications: Vacuum furnaces are mainly used for ceramic firing, vacuum smelting, degassing of electric vacuum parts, annealing, brazing of metal parts, and ceramic metal sealing processes.

Functional features:
A vacuum furnace can eliminate oxidation and decarburization on the surface of the workpiece during the heating process, thereby obtaining a clean surface without any deterioration layer.
No pollution to the environment, no need for waste treatment.
The accuracy of furnace temperature measurement and monitoring is high, and the error between the indicated value of the thermocouple and the furnace temperature is within ± 1.5 ° C.
The degree of mechatronics integration is high, and temperature measurement and control, workpiece movement, air pressure regulation, power regulation, etc. can be pre programmed and set.
The energy consumption is significantly lower than that of salt bath furnaces, and the energy-saving effect is significant.

Working principle of series products:
Vacuum sintering furnace: Sintering in a vacuum or protective atmosphere can effectively eliminate gases and impurities in the material, improve the purity and density of the material.
Vacuum brazing furnace: Apply flux to the welding area of the cleaned and cleaned workpiece, and then place it in the furnace to heat up to the temperature where the solder melts to complete the welding.

Vacuum furnaces have a wide range of applications in the industrial field, and their high efficiency, environmental protection, and precision make them play an important role in modern industrial manufacturing.
