Box type resistance furnace is a common high-temperature heating equipment, which is suitable for colleges and research institutes to conduct sintering of metal materials and ceramic materials, heat treatment of some single crystals, and detection and research of high-temperature reburning shrinkage of refractory materials.
Working principle of box type electric furnace
When the workpiece is heated in a box resistance furnace, there is not only radiation heat transfer but also convection heat transfer between the heat source and the workpiece surface. The working principle of box resistance furnace is as follows:
1. Radiant heat transfer of furnace gas to metal: mainly refers to the transfer of the radiant energy of furnace gas to the furnace wall and the metal surface, some of which will be attracted and some of which will be reflected back. The reflected heat is absorbed by the furnace gas filled with furnace gas, and the rest is radiated to the opposite furnace wall or metal, so as to radiate repeatedly.
2. Radiation heat transfer of the wall and roof of the box type resistance furnace to the metal: the internal surface of the furnace wall also absorbs heat in the form of convection, and the heat is still transmitted in the form of radiation.
3. Convective heat transfer of metal by box type resistance furnace: in the existing box type resistance furnace, the temperature of furnace gas is mostly in the range of 800 ℃ – 1400 ℃. When the furnace gas temperature is about 800 ℃, the effects of radiation and convection are almost equal. When the furnace gas temperature is higher than 800 ℃, the convection heat transfer decreases, while the radiation heat transfer increases sharply.
